Someone mentioned Sakura Microns and that's what I use to ink all my stuff. I sometimes use Copic multi-liners but like all Copic products, they're a little bit expensive.

Black ball point pens work quite well too. That's what I inked my .hack_collage_junk.jpg with....

I very much like your pic of Balmung. You have the armor dead on. I always had trouble with the shoulder plates....I usually resort to drawing it the way it's drawn in the animated version of .hack//Legend of the Twlight Bracelet... ^^;;
