Who is she? Does she have any significance to the story of .hack//SIGN, or does she just represent a player of The World?

...to understand .hack//Liminality? Or can you watch them separately?

I would buy this CD, but I don't particularly like any of the other songs on it, and plus I'm impatient. I'm planning on getting all of the .hack//SIGN OSTs, but I still have a bunch of .hack//SIGN mp3s.
