I don't mean the jewelry thing in a bad way! (Hell, my watches sometimes look more like jewelry than anything, 4 they are Swatches!) I just wanted to point it out. That can be unusual in most games. Then again... there are Goths in Memphis, too.

A lot of male Final Fantasy characters wore jewelry also. Cloud Strife had earrings, etc, etc.

Well, they aren't really gaudy earrings. I mean, most of the ones I've seen in .hack are just simple bands around the side of the ear. Barely noticable.

Besides, it's not like they PICKED them. Probably just part of the default avatar.

WHat's wrong with guys wearing earrings? I really like loops and earcuffs on guys. Back in the middle ages, people of both genders wore lots of jewelry. I just got back from a renfest. n.n

Anyways... They don't make them look girly or it's nothing to ew about. THe only reason you'd have for thinking that it looks ugly is cultural differences between you and them.

Lots of guys wear jewelry At least in Alaska they seem to. I'm sure it's even worse in the 48's. besides, jewelry looks good on guys if Fashoined the right way!!!

When you get married, you wear a ring. & that IS JEWLERY. ._.;;
At somepoint I beleive they made some jewlery out of lead, & people went crazy... or maybe I'm just dumb, & really talking about pencils.^^;;

I shine my hats... the metal ones... yeah, I hav a light up necklace that goes with everything I wear! So I don't diss jewelry, and I don't know why I made this post, really. I have realized lately that more games than I thought (and real life places) have men that wear more jewelry than just rings. *takes a bow; dodges tomato*

I don't think it's that men didn't wear jewelry, but that women tended to wear more flashy jewelry. IE, while a man would wear a gold band as a ring, a woman might have a diamond the size of her head. Or something.

The pharoahs of Egypt wore what you said the females might have worn. They were mostly guys. So guys wore that stuff...... don't start a new wave thing, PLEASE!

anicent history in jewlery must be very effective on todays lifestyle. i think it is crazy to wear it but then again i have never worn to see if it looks cool *goes to store and buys expensive jewlery then trips and it rolls into sewers* guess i'll never know *thinks why didn't i by elk plushie*

Prople just wear jewelry because it'll look good or they like it. It doesn't mater what the gender.
But I do belive that the point has been made:
Yes, lots of us have noticed that the guys in the show wear alot of jewelry.

By the way... Why wear it in the first place? Are we so consumed by material wealth that we wear it on our bodies to flaunt it? Or perhaps we are just so captavated by the look of it that we always want it to be near?
