Post by ryok »

I have looked at many places to download this novel but cannot find it, is there any specific store that sells it in the US?

you say you can't find it from an english store? I'd just get it from a japanese one (online)...

Best places that I can think of if you can't purchase online, would be:

1) Learn of a Kinokuniya in your area. I think San Fransisco, Los Angeles, and New York City have these.
2) Look for an Asahiya. Same as above.
3) Look for a chapter of the Overseas Courier Service in your area. I can guarantee that if you can't find one, you can order by phone through their New York store. ...I'll post that later when I can find it if you need it still.

I have been to the one in New York and they don't even have it listed in their records. But, you might want to try again if you live in that area because I think I asked them to look under books that had been translated.

Take in mind, that they usually need a publisher to find something, as the way that Japanese publications are put out...

Also, another note about AI Buster... While it's published through Kadokawa Shoten... It think it's actually through a subsidiary that goes through kadokawa called 'Fujimishobo'. That's the same publisher responsible for Orphen and Slayers as well. Kadokawa is a large publisher and has a ton of minor ones underneath as well.

...and if you can't get it through them, a secret is that I noticed once that Kinokuniya gets their mass orders through OCS as well. ^__^;; ...I found that horribly amusing. n.n

Tsukasa-Could you post more info on Overseas Courier Service? Do they have a website? Because I just found a website on Google for a company called Overseas Courier Service (http://www.shipocs.com), and it looks like they're just a shipping company. It doesn't look like you can buy stuff from them.

Oh, that's them! I know since I've been with Tsukasa to the stores before they shut down the one close to us. Try going through the contact page here http://www.shipocs.com/contact.asp Maybe if you called the number under the Publications & Catalog Distribution or Japan Services, because it says phone subscription - which I am assuming is for ordering a subscription to magazines and such, but you could probably order things individually with that too.
You might want to try these too (It's confusing me o_O)

At the very least, calling or emailing them would clear up which department you would need to contact, ne? :)

Actually...

http://www.ocscurious.com/

But http://www.shipocs.com/ is them, too. Contact them and ask, and they can help.
