I'm guessing they would die... very slooowly... and have there hp slooooooooooowly drain away as they stay underwater...

but I'm guessing people who could swim would probably find a good way to get suff by offering to save them in excange for an item or $$ or something.... (i wouldn't be surprised... heck, I would probably do that)

In //DUSK though, it must change [the armor], because Rena and Mireya change clothes quite a bit.

They do change their clothes quite often. Rena in the Kimono, and then all of them in their swimsuits, and... even stripped down nekkid for the hot springs @_@ Oh! Mireilie in the bunny suit! I thought that was cute-pyo! n.n

I think we should accept that the games, a lot of things that should be possible in "The World" aren't just because of programming limitations (and possibly monetary ones) in _our_ reality.

For example, they mention how they banned PK'ing in the games version of The World...yet it's possible again in Udeden. Also, this ban doesn't prevent confused characters from killing you.

I seriously doubt there's a "switch" in The World that prevents this from being possible. It's too complicated. Bandai just added that "update" because it would be too complicated a game if you had to deal with PKers.

PK'ing isn't that new. You could do that in LORD(Legend Of the Red Dragon), which was about 10 or 15 years ago on BBS's(pre-internet).

You could PK someone who was playing or while they slept. If their level was too high, they'd just wake up and kill you first. But the had rules about PK'ing someone if there level was lower than 5 points of your own. All the days of Yellow text on Black background. Beh, it gives me a head ache. I think you can still find LORD being played somewhere on the internet. It was pretty graphic for a text game though, you could buy and sell brothels, but you had the risk of getting caught by the authorities.
