Does anyone know how long is the time period in the games?

another factor is the updates and stuff that are going on...
for example, early on in Infection, they close off a bunch of servers, but only a few minutes later (after you read the message board) the servers open up again... I doubt they would only close the server for literally two minutes.....

so far we know for sure that the games took six month after signs and fours before dusks...

... ok, guys: The answer is within Liminality 4. If the games take place 6 months after //SIGN ends, and .hack//SIGN ends technically around August 2009, then the games start in March of 2010. Liminality 1 can support this: School is still in session, there's some kind of recital in orchestra, and the weather is still chilly so everyone is wearing long sleeved clothing and jackets [minus Tokuouka]. Then comes Liminality 4, which takes place... ON Christmas. So, the duration of the games is around the time of March to Christmas Eve. Case shut.
