What is the headgear that we see various people wearing when they access the game.

They're V.R. goggles, they're used as a specific monitor for accessing the game.^^

I think they are called "Neuro Goggles" (at least thats what it said in the game)

pretty much, it's like a small monitor inside the goggles... making it appear that you're actually in "the world"...

Yeah in the game, they send you news about the goggles.The goggles make you actually feel like your in "The World"

just a HMD not sure if it has Sterio monitors or not. (most do but most OS's dont suport 3d) see the first post in my art therad. for an example.

Oh, they actually have
two screens (one for each eye). This can be clearly seen within the first few seconds of .hack//SIGN's opening sequence.
Also, they're very similar to the real PS2 headset known as the PUD-J5A.

i might have to get me a pair of the ps2 kind and if you would read the ingame news you would know that those were mentioned alot
