I agree.... the fact that elk and tsukasa and mimiru and black rose are just so similar looking... it's almost stupid... I can understand some similarity (like how bear and orca sorta look similar but not identical) but it's a pretty interesting coincidence that two players have such a key role in the world and look the practically identical...

Mimiru and Blackrose have a somewhat generic female heavyblade look to them. The colors are completely different, however.
And yes, you can edit your skin tone.
And I also think that it was simply to make the illusion of it being an MMORPG more solid. They aren't really that similar, BR and Mimiru. Mimiru is very headstrong, has something of an attitude, and is a go-get'em kinda person. BR acts that way sometimes, but she still gets scared a lot and can be nervous.

why can't you pick to either be a heavy blade, heavy axe men, blade master, or wavemaster they need to make the game so you can pick which one.
