Actually, there really isn't such a thing as the "US industry", the "Japanese industry", etc anymore. Most companies are multinationals. They usually have agreements with overseas distrabuters, etc. Even some so-called US companies have their head office overseas for tax purposes (eg Stanley Tools). It's quite possible that the Singapore publisher of Dusk has some sort of agreement of or is a subsidy of a US publisher (not necesserally Tokyopop).

Because I'm lazy and impatient.

Or, if that store doesn't get it, you could always order it offline. Anime Nation would definately have it. Fortunately, the Waldenbooks near me always stocks tons of manga.

I've never really thought to check at Walden Books for my manga...I'll have to go look sometime. I usually go to Books-A-Million or the Anime/comic shop here in town.

Yeah, but...

Post by twinblader_mangaartist »

Yeah, a long wait. But... I'm sure it'll be worth it. Tokyopop has done a pretty good job of translating manga, so I have no doubts. I only have 3 import mangas and I only understand a, s, and dog so it wouldn't really do me any good o bu the japanese version. :D

Anyone know how many volumes there will be... now that I think about it, I don't think Japan has released all of them yet :?:

I heard...

Post by twinblader_mangaartist »

I heard that there's only going to be 3 volumes, but I don't know really. But, Tokyopop only informed about 3 volumes, so i assume that's all. I also took my research to other Japanese .hack//dusk sites and they say there's only going to be 3 volumes. :) Kinda short if ya ask me...

I guess 3 volumes is about right considering the anime is only 12 or 13 episodes long. I was hoping for more though.
