I wouldn't suppose they feel anything. The reason why Tsukasa's case is so peticular. I thought it was bizzar that he could smell things there too. Don't ask me why they developed code for that, if it was only for Tsukasa. Or maybe his head is tricked into feeling the things that he expects to feel.
I wonder if the game could get into your head and configure a few things in the brain to make a continuous link possible with the game. To make a portion of the brain to act mechanically. In that way he could remotely connect. And the only real change is that his awareness shifts away from real life, and focuses on the game. Sort of like when your dreaming, when your awareness is focused inside your head, though loud noises and stuff can wake you up. A deep 'coma' like sleep.

. Sorry for the fuss.

That's more of a 2-way nervous system link, with simultaneous actions from both beings. So it's more like a brain to brain connection, whereas in .hack we have a brain to machine connection, which is more difficult (as if the brain to brain connection wasn't ;P).Rhyste wrote:Kind of like Evangelion where they have the little hair clippies and feel pain and crap? After watching all of .hack and whatever you still say The World is just a game?Invisible Egg! wrote:That's more of a 2-way nervous system link, with simultaneous actions from both beings. Fragment and The World may have been, but Harald didn't personally design the VR goggles, or the game controllers.CRtwenty wrote:Though with Harald as the programmer, there is a possibilty that The World WAS designed for this kind of connection.FireDraconian wrote:Not to mention that it isn't designed to be a real connection, just a video screen for a game.

To answer the confused about the coma.
Well, this might not be the complete truth. It does seem to me like the people who go into a coma kinda get trapped inside "The World" itself. Maybe I'm wrong but that's just what it seem's like to me. Don't kill me if I'm wrong. I'm still a newbie at the whole .hack thing.
