MMORPG "The World"

Hey...instead of saying how great it is in many threads why don't you just MAIL THE STUPID SURVEY IN YOUR GAME MANUALS (at least for Mutation...don't remember if it's also in Infection) which specifically asks "Would you play an online version of dot hack?" and say yes. That's what the surveys are there for.....just my suggestion.

Most of us have. We're merely expressing our desire in this public forum to facilitate discussion on how such a game would be created/improved/made to be like the one in the dot hack universe.

It would be cool, however unlikely, as the creators seem to think that an online version of .hack would ruin the effect.

And Keru, FireDraconian is right. You don't know whether the lot of us have or have not sent in the little surveys, so don't assume that we haven't and are just complaining.

in any case a mmorpg would work if it only lasted a year before getting to buggy to play. and if there was 4 charectures picked for the "game" however some players would get mad and mob pk the winners because they themselfs did not get picked... maby a MMORPG isent the best idea for .hack...

First off, can you -please- start spell-checking your posts? Reading them is akin to shoving poison-covered flaming needles in my eyes. This comes of being a newspaper editor, and I'd like to think that you'd give at least -some- effort into posting here.

Secondly, you assume that they would allow PKing in an online version of The World. In the games, PKing is disabled, and likely, it would be the same for an MMORPG.

I couldn't exactly decipher what the rest of your entry was about, and I hope that in the future, you'll try to be clearer.

I think I understand. First I'll translate so maybe I can spark other mmbers into further discussion. What hes saying is if whatever OS maintained "The World" were to hold a contest to play as the .hack games avatars, (similar to in LotTB) that the winners would be PKed for winning such a contest because of jealously toward the winners. O_O WOW

Well first off as Sora said previously there is not a 100% chance of Pking being allowed in "The World", that is just your speculation. But as far as a contest to play as the game avatars goes, that could be quite likely. And by the way please use spellcheck. Thank you in advance.

i will try and brake down my post for you. the error is to my tirdness causing the bad presence.

ok.

if the world did exist for any system(it does not matter what system) the following would be what it would have to do in order to fit project .hack

1 it only lasts a year, during this time data bugs and errors build up(part of the game) before long the game becomes 2 buggy 2 play.

2 if there was a MMORPG of THE WORLD to make it fit a story only a few people could be the main charecture and suporting cast(for the games it was kite and blackrose ect...) and if there was charectures picked for the "game" some most players would feal left out and would get mad (possibly they would mob pk the winners because they themselfs did not get picked...)

maby a MMORPG isent the best idea for .hack...

Okay. You're assuming that they make The World exactly like the one in the anime, complete with Data Bugs, Phases, and all.

That's not logical. If they do make a MMORPG out of .hack, it'll be most likely be what The World was supposed to be like. IE, no Data Bugs, no Tsukasa, no Morganna, etc etc.

So, it won't get buggy. And they might not even allow avatars of the .hack characters. Or, if they do, they will probably belong to the Admins like on this board. So that people won't have the opportunity to become jealous.

Sorry for my above post. I just meant to all the people who said 'How cool would it be to have a real The World' to do something instead of wishing. Yeah, the world might ruin the whole .hack feel, and yet at the same time if Bandai wasn't giving thought to it they wouldn't include it in a survey. If they were to make "The World" it would have to live up to a lot of expectations.
