Hm. I don't recall seeing anything about how Emma died. Could she have been that player?

She died in a car accident. I believe we discover this in Liminality, but I can't recall it exactly.

Well, it didn't say the person died from the game. In fact, it says the death was unrelated. I dunno, maybe it is her.

I've never read //AI BUSTER, but I thought that the player death was Albiero's... probably wrong though... I always assumed that after failing his grand design for The World (Due to Morganna) Harald simply became a recluse.

Then, there speaks of a player death DURING FRAGMENTS which makes Albireo dying impossible.

in IRL does anyone know who Alf(Meg's friend in a coma) and Kazu(thats his IRL name) who their on/offline counterparts are? and if so are they related to the story in any way? (hints to rhyste who seems to have everything imported and solved already

Of course, it's always possible that the .hack world could have happened. It has enough of a background. Who knows, if computer viruses get out of hand in the near future, maybe we'll be seeing a new ATLIMIT...
