I think that he/she's talking about the jap. boxed set. If it has three dvd's and has a picture of Subaru and Tsukasa and Mimiru on the front, then it is the jap. version.

Hazimemasite! ^^ Junko de~su! This is my first post, I hope it's useful to someone... ^^;

There is a .hack//INTEGRATION trailer out. The sound works for about half the people I've asked, yet not for me. I get this low-volume buzzing on the WMA codec... ^^; Andwho, the song it goes to is Obsession, so you could just play it along with the opening of .hack//SIGN to get the full effect! ^^

All the 'DVDs' that you see on ebay for episode 1-26 are Taiwanese or Hong Kong/China bootlegs. They ripped the episodes from TV and repackaged them for sale.

The LEGITIMATE Japanese release of the .hack//SIGN series is 9 volumes with 26 episodes and an unaired episode of .hack//SIGN called Intermezzo which is considered to be episode 27. ONLY the legitimate copies of .hack//SIGN DVD will have episode 27.

The Japanese release of Episode 28 which is the game/tv crossover will be packaged with the special Integration set.

For the US release of .hack//SIGN Episode 28 will be packaged along with the unaired Episode 27 (somehow) with the sixth(and final) DVD of the Bandai .hack//SIGN release.

The rights to Episode 28 were acquired by Bandai USA at the time they purchased the rights to .hack//SIGN so people should NOT be fansubbing it.

Ne, Kite, where'd you find out about them being packaged into a 6th dvd? Are they just not going to sell liminality seperately or something?

I have a question too. If comparing a bootleg DVD to the real DVD, what do you have to look out for so you don't buy the bootleg?

It's been something that's been rumored for a while and was finally confirmed by Jerry Chu of Bandai at... I believe Otakon. Vol 6 will be a 2 disk set. They will not be selling episode 28 packaged with the Liminality OVA's over here in the US. Liminality only will be sold with the games... from what I've heard.

Ways to tell it's a bootleg:
* it has subtitles in Chinese as well as English.
* cover art does not match official DVD release art
* There's more than 4-5 episodes per DVD (although it's usually 2-4 episodes per DVD nowadays)
* The cover of the DVD does not list Bandai or whoever the proper copyright holder is.

That's pretty cool. I've seen episode 27. Hopefully 28 will be better.

US Bandai said that there's no intention to create a single disc with Liminality on it alone. Episode 28 will be on SIGN vol 6.

Can you show me a site that says ep 28 will be on Sign vol 6?

Can you show me a site that says ep 28 will be on Sign vol 6?

Would you like to go and explain to Jerry Chu of Bandai as to why the information that he revealed at Otakon about episode 28 being on vol 6 is completely wrong?

I've spoken to the producer of the US release and he's confirmed it.

Thanks for the info Kite. I haven't read much about Otakon so I don't know a lot about it. And there aren't a lot of .hack sites out there that have good information. Looks like these forums are a good place to find a lot of info.

Wow, it turns out that Integration contains .hack//Welcome to The World (From the 2002 tokyo game show. It was given out there, and then made a rental-only item for a certain store) as an extra. Well, at least according to this fansite that seems to get everything right. Any word on whether or not this will be on the last .hack//SIGN dvd?

None that I've heard of.

So far, just having Episodes 27 and 28 in the set will be the 'special' things you get with that.

It's possible that they may feel like releasing a special set with the 4 Liminalities on one DVD, plus that, plus whatever else when they start releasing Udeden, but I can't be certain of that at all.
