So if you go into The World (Not Kite, just a player in particular), what are the odds that you'll go into a coma? And how many to date have?

Considering that there are several thousand and up players of The World, I'd say it's extremely unlikely, unless you were attempting to be coma-ized, like going to KeyWords people post on the forum saying like "I saw blah blah here, is that an npc character?" and such.

I doubt Morgana really bothers with the average player.

Hmm..

Are there other ways to get into a coma besides getting killed by something like Skeith?

The cause of Mai's and Sieg's (forgot his player's name) coma isn't exactly clear.

I would think the chances are slim too,I mean,if there were news of players falling into comas each day or week as the games continues,then I can understand that people would start freaking out.Not to mention the server crashing as it is in this stage.

This is also from the .hack//Mysteries found in the Liminality 2 DVD:

Mystery//03 Six Players in Coma
In ".hack//Liminality in the case of Mai Minase," Tokuoka says that there are six players who fell into a coma like Tomonari. From the accounts of the game: Tomonari Kasumi, Orca, Alf, and an individual related to BlackRose can be confirmed. At this time it cannot be confirmed whether "Tsukasa" from .hack//SIGN and others from the real world are included in the other two counts.

And please quit mixing up Mia and Mai,they are Not one in the same >>;

Are we ever told how Tsukasa originally fell into a coma? Bit off-topic, since this is the Game section, but I think it's related. As I recall, almost exactly nothing is ever revealed about what he did in the World beforehand, just that he already knew Maha. Somehow.

I've yet to see the last episode but as far as i know...we aren't. It is assumed that he is DD'd by Skieth... It's also very possible that Morganna did it herself. As for the whole maha thing...Morganna probally used maha to lure Tsukasa to a remote area where the deed could be done.

The character's we know so far that are in comas would be...

Alf, Orca, Sieg and:

[spoiler]Kazu, and Sora[/spoiler]

That leaves a mysterious 6th person, who I believe is a character from //ZERO.

actually, [warning]WARNING: UBER-SPOILER! [/warning] [spoiler]Skeith didn't DD tsukasa. Before he do anything Helba deleted the field. Anf i believe he was Data Drained by a guardian. Before he opens the treasure box 'again' he remembers himself being DD. And remember how the guardian's DD caused temporary memory loss? He wouldn't remember that. But, it's just a guess.[/spoiler]

Well...I might be off on this,this is just a guess.

[spoiler]I believe that maybe,Maha Data Drained Tsukasa.It doesnt seem very likely,but if you think about it.Maha is a Phase after all.Skeith didnt appear until Afterwards at the end of SIGN.The Guardian I doubt was even created then.Besides,this reminds me one of those mystery stories.If Maha and Tsukasa were the only two in the cave,who could have Data Drained him?

For the whole Tsukasa thing...

[spoiler]He was either DDed by Maha, or was led to a certain spot by Maha, where he was DDed by Morgana[/spoiler]
