Actually, they used headsets during SIGN. So they didn't come out during Liminality, they were already out there. I'm guessing an upgraded version was put out during the games and Lim.

And also, just because some headsets have mics, not all do. Some people might use a keyboard, some might use headset mics.

Or some might prefer using a keyboard, I mean how do you use a voice program when you have a sore throat?

Mom: "Ok Dear, you can stay home sick from school today... to bad your throat is too sore to play video games! "
Kid: %&$#!

www.dothacked.com - Look at the banner, that would be an image from //SIGN. No speaker piece, PM me for the full image. ^^

Anwser your question? Good, this [will] probably get locked once it's served it purpose.. [maybe]

I said that about 4 days ago, I didn't mean to quote Tsukasa, the purple theme has the quot elinks backward, next to the old site. I have explained this already, and I fixed it afterward. -.-

[EDIT]

Thanks, sign up if you'd like. Somewhat like here, except a few forums for //Music, CToon Anime, Tech TV Anime Unleashed, a bit more laid back, but still very strict, and were pretty much alike in all the other ways, aside that an opening site is in the works in PHPNuke format, it might be put up soon. Could you please avoid posts like this in the future? They do nothing to add to the discussion and would be better off as a private message. Thank you.

I think the creators made a mistake. How could the Nuero Goggles be in SIGN when supposedly they are new in INFECTION? In the intro to SIGN, they show each of the main characters wearing the goggles, also the scene when BT is seen offline, her nuero goggles are shown. And the voice thing, in one of the episodes, Subaru is shown offline too, and she's crying. I don't remember if you can hear her voice or not. Does she have the same voice that she has online?

Actually, I agree with the theory that it's a hardware upgrade. Then again, it'd help if I'd get off my chair and reread the article to factor it into this theory, but as well all know, Eggplants have no arms or legs.

*looks around hoping that no one knows how to cure Eggplant Wizard curses*

Ah, sorry, I digressed. But yeah, we're shown neuro goggles long before liminality takes place, so the possible explanations are rather limited...

And yes, Subaru has the same voice online and off, I believe.
I'm the missing Twilight item, Eggplant of the Twilight.

That's actually mentioned in the //lot manga, as Shugo realizes that one of the players is actually a person from his math class.

Actually, the game states that the sales of the Cyber goggles are skyrocketing, not that they're brand-spanking new.

I suspect that there are different brands and/or types of goggles for use with the game and not just the Neuro Goggles. I remember reading on The Board during "Infection" that a lot of people were complaining about how the Neuro Goggles wasn't all it was hyped to be. You'd think since "The World" had been out for a while that they'd have different types and/or brands of goggles by then.

And I agree with Eggplant. I think Subaru's player uses her real voice for her character. You can tell at the end of SIGN ep. 18, I believe.

damn plot devices......why don't you draw a 'plot device' as a piece fan-work? And Balmung isn't a plot device. ::back on topic:: I think that you have to just plain use your voice, or no voice.

Balmung is dead weight character. He is nothing but pretty boy, his significance in story is next to none except filling the cliche that there must be pretty boy. <3
