Correction. This board is for General Discussion, the Serious Discussion board is just a ways ahead.

Correction on that- The 'serious discussion' board is for discussions that will require you to reach from each of the series. It's also a spoiler board, so that you can post whatever it is you want without worries.

I am new here but i have plenty of experience from other forums and sites......yall should, if asked, just direct them to another topic that discusses or just tell them to search it up.....if after they do this and they are still having troubles then explain it to them if u really have the time and patience.....
i can not go back on the same path as before.....through all the waste i have tore.......i can't go back and not hurt all the people who i now call "who"......and now have no one to tell my tales to......~smurf (me)

I think ppl should lurk for about a week b4 joining to prevent mistakes, misunderstandings, etc. B4 I first joined, I lurked for about a month (i think i started lurking when the board had just opened, but i wanted to make sure I went with the "flow" so I wouldn't have to cry myself to sleep every night) :p

I agree, the rules here really aren't that difficult, so I'd have to reccomend lurking as well... Or at least double checking the forum you're posting in before you create a new topic... :?

It'd at least take a load off of the Mods

another piece of advice is revising a topic before replying to it. If you dont know anything about what is being discussed or don't have anything good to write, then don't. boo-hoo case closed.

I've only just joined today. After reading through some of the conversations, rules, and announcements I don't think the attitude or policies here are any more (or less) unreasonable than in other places. I've been to some boards where a troublemaker was given an inch and he/she took a mile with it, causing big problems for everyone. It's good to see that the moderators and members nipping these problems before they grow.

I'll try my best not to step on anyone's toes while here. I'd hate to get shot...or worse.

If anything, people should be happy that we at least point out the errors & make effort to tell them to check the rules...

...who would be happy to have several forum members quote the terms of service? I don't even bother.

The only reason several people do it, is because the offender is too stupid to understand the first time.

Now, now, baka neko. People don't post dumb topics. They are just fustrated on the oldbies attacking the newbies. I don't agree with anyone here but the person with the first post. And I feel the fustration newbies do on most things. For example, mmorpgs I play, oldbies attack me when I ask a simple question. Of course, when i'm on a board and ask a simple question, the moderators SIMPLY post a link to an older thread. They do not yell or ask me to leave. They post a link. That is the way to go. And, I believe users of forums do not need to help newbies, simply the moderators should. Usually, moderators are the ones for help. User simply are just bastards and have too much time on their hands. Of course, i'm not one to talk. Hell, I don't even post on this forum as much ^^ But, anyway, this is my opinion.

Actually, I have seen some pretty stupid posts by people who haven't read the rules.

Many people post links to the thread they're looking for... The only time people actually go easy on the newbs, is when the topic they seek is pages back. We get angry when people are too lazy to search, or scroll down a few centimeters.
