The mystery of Ouka/Orca is finally solved! I read the rest of the manga last night, and after a long scene with Orca/Ouka in wolf form, she talks (as a wolf) and transforms into her 'natural' self. Shugo asks if that's another type of player, and she says that she got it from an expansion package for "The World". There are many requirements to get that 'career' as they call it, and only high level characters can get it. Ah, and at the end is some funny stuff.

...pretty much.... :roll: i guess they were just waiting for an official english version, which ironically turned to crap, even though it was just a name change.

Got It!

I picked it up last night from Waldenbooks. It is really good. ...well, aside from the Ouka-Orca translation. I'm surprised no one complains to Tokyopop for the bad translation, nyuu! Anyhow, yeah, aside from that, I think it's good. :wink:

Well, I can't afford the thirty or so dollars that it would cost me to import the Singapore Version. So, I guess I'm stuck with the US Version.

Well well well,
I picked it up last night (9 days early I might add, I almost had a heart attack when I realized Books-a-million got it in that early), Actually I found it quite funny, repetitive (spelling?), but funny none-the-less. Although the Orca/Ouca thing makes me sick everytime I see it. I mean come on CC2, It would be impossible for her to have that name because Orca from the games is already registered as it (unless Orca quit playing and his character data was deleted, Then it makes Ouka look like a name stealing newb). Aside from that, and the repetitiveness (again spelling?), I had no problem with it, certainly 7 bucks well spent.

I don't collect the US releases, did they seriously translate Ouka's name to Orca? O.o;

I wouldn't actually blame CC2 for the translation error (I don't think they had much of a hand in it).

Thankfully Bandai is not required to use TokyoPop's (mis)naming conventions.

I heard they used "Barmunk" for Balmung's name in the US version... I dunno if that's true or not, but I hope it's not >_< That just sounds wierd.
