here's a point. Computer time is much faster then real time. So what was 6 months between the games could be 6 years computer time

That's really not a point: How is computer time faster? And how would that explain why Aura doesn't grow up more between UdeDen and the end of the games? It doesn't.

Yeah, she's an AI: But if she grows up during the 6mo period between .hack//SIGN and the games, why doesn't she grow up anymore between the four year period between the games and UdeDen by what Geni is saying? This is obviously a case of, "the character designer decided to do things differently." -_-;;

Oh yes, I see what you mean.

If they just didn't state the fatc that, like most AI, she has the option of aging, as well as the option of eating, etc. but this is just a guess as evidence of Maha feeling pain when she is DD'ed isn't n ormal for AI, thus my thoughts on Aura sort of waver. x.x;;

I always took it as Aura growing into her powers, in //SIGN she's just this weak little creature tha has no idea of what she can do, or what she has to do. But in //INFECTION she knows her purpose, and has a lot more powers at her disposle...

So as Aura discovers her abilites I think her form grew to match it...

She is, yes, more 'grown up' in the games than she is in //SIGN. This isn't just character design differences, I'm pretty sure this is plot-based as well. In //SIGN she cannot speak, and yet she can in the games, which shows a definite change.

But design differences are common in any joint project. You see Aura in the last episode of Liminality and she looks -completely- different. Likewise, Balmung in the anime looks different than he does in the games. Even Balmung in Udeden is drawn a bit differently than he is in //SIGN or the games. It's a stylistic thing.
