where exactly can you buy the novel. i looked on amazon it they were only selling it in japanese. if you guys know of a place could you post it? or is it ONLY *gasp* is japanese...i hope not though...

I dunno if we can call it "prelude".. but... I used to say that SIGN is a prelude and AI Buster is the genesis.

It takes place shortly after the game "Fragments" was upgraded into "The World" I think... I agree with Brad_Evans, it basically shows the very beginning of the whole incident.

Hm.. Are there any scans of the entire contents of the novel? I would much like to read it.

Does anyone know what level it is at? My knowledge of Kanji is still not quite high enough to read many Japanese texts fully...

I got the 2 books. .hack//AI Buster and .hack//Zero but I can't read Kanji

(I know, this is dummy ^^ )

I made a scan of the first chapter of AI BUSTER if you want to try to translate it.

What is the general theme of these two? So far, it seems to me, that every single .hack "episode" has a different feeling to it.

What do the novels deal with? Are they character or plot driven? A little of both?

I wish I could read them...

Hack Ai Buster is the test of the "fragment" and the first time we see Morgana.

Hack Zero tell what occurs between the 26th hack Sign and hack infection (first ps2 game)

As usual, the characters of both novel aren't related.

I'm want to read it too ! But I need a translator.
