Hmm... I'd say //SIGN since Liminality is so short there wasn't much time to really develop the characters or anything... But then again, Yuki was in Liminality...
"Hark he of Fair eyes, I am CRtwenty of the Azure Keyboard!"
//SIGN for it had the most intriguing music, it was the [first] main part to the .hack series (aside AI Buster of course) that really made an impression on any western people (in large amounts) and the music was mainly in //SIGN and ermm' erll the music is my life! ^_^

I like .hack//sign... Sora was there *_* and the music is wonderful, by the way I don't think that it is slow, it is O.K. for me...
.hack//liminality... Well, honestly, I don't like it's animation's style but the music is also good (See Saw *_*!) and there is a nice guy in the last two OVA (the one, who is Helba's representative)... And Yuki-chan is kawaii! ^_^
the sun is in your eyes
the sun is in your ears
but you can't see the sun
ever in the darkness
it does not much matter to me
Definitely SIGN. DUSk is too silly for my taste, LIMINALITY reminds me too much of Lain (which I also like ... but it was so *depressing*!), the games are too expensive, the novels are in Japanese. Even if I could access everything, I still think SIGN would be my favorite. Everything just came together perfectly ... it *didn't* have pacing problems, no matter what anyone else says ^^
