.hack probability
.hack probability
Ok, this isn't saying that Morganna or a Data Bug or Tsukasa or Kite or Aura could happen, what I mean is more along the lines of how "The World" through a Programmer's view could become a reality. I just got to thinking (and I just started learning. I know about classes and such lol) how difficult...yet possible some of these things in "The World" could be.

Could be...? You mean like doing things in real life that you did in The World ?Keru wrote:Ok, this isn't saying that Morganna or a Data Bug or Tsukasa or Kite or Aura could happen, what I mean is more along the lines of how "The World" through a Programmer's view could become a reality. Possibility is very different from probability. The probability of something like .hack occurring is low, of course, as it is fiction, and it takes liberties with factual information.
The possibility, on the other hand, is as all possibilities are. Even if it's slim, it's -possible-. At the moment, our level of technology would not allow for such things to occur, therefor, right -now-, the possibility is close to nil, and the probability even less.
Take in mind, though, a few years can make a great difference in the level of technology we posess, so you never really know.

Mmm... maybe. If someone can make a virus that makes your screen flash all sorts of trippy stuff.
How do you think that one episode of Pokémon caused a bunch of seizures in Japan? o.O And that was just on TV.
If anything, I say Deadly Flash is possible. I'm just hoping nobody's getting any ideas from .hack ... XD;

I think that the idea of an A.I. gathering memes from players in an mmorpg is a great idea and could actually help develop an A.I., as long as the players were forced to "live", like they are in The World, because it has no absolute goal in it, it's like the real world, where a kid can grow up and leard from the people in it. As for minds being trapped in the game, ok that was just neat fiction... ^^;

Just to give a comment on how much it would most likely cost to play "The World", if this game ever did come across to becoming an actual online MMORPG game, I wouldn't be surprised if it cost 20 bucks or more to play. There are online games right now that cost around 12 bucks and can't even compare how we would imagine "The World" to be like online. It'd be a hefty cost per month, thats for sure.
