I believe Aslan meant, that the designs of them look different from most bosses in RPG's.

yeah pretty much but I mean that they were just different than I expected, like rubedo said i just expected them to look more like a regular monster

I'm with Duskino, since I find the phases cool because they are so unique. I can just imagine being totally immersed in a game when all of a sudden this friggin picasso painting comes in and attacks me. I think that woulk scare the bejesus out of anybody.

In fact I think BlackRose does say something about the phase desings in Outbreak, it goes along the lines of like: "GYAH! Who designed thse things?!!!".

Yes... you have to look at this like you ARE a character, I mean the normal monsters are funky, but they're nothing like the phases... imagine you're just walking along inside The World, (remember it's like you're actually there cause of the VR headset), when suddenly everything gets staticy and this gigantic mask, or floating toothy thing appears out of NOWHERE and starts attacking you...

That would be terrifying!

Though, if Innis just randomly popped up and ran away like he did, I probably would've started to laugh. Well, yeah, I laughed while playing the game.

Now if Skieth just skipped in out of nowhere, I'd be like, "Dude... sweet monst- HOLY CRAP HE'S GONNA *DDed* X__X"
