Thinking back on Tsukasa in //SIGN I began to wonder two things.

One was if her dad did play the game, and she did log onto his name, would that explain her harshness with everyone she met, and how mean she seemed to be through the first 10 episodes or so? Could a characters personality stay the same, meaning her fathers personality?

Also, did it at all seem Tsukasa was schizophrenic in //SIGN or am I just being a bit paranoid? O.o;;

Tsukasa doesn't seem to trust many people, because when she gets close to someone, she or the other person gets hurt.
When a family member hurts you in some way, your trust in almsot everything drops low.... Plus, I don't she was ever allowed any friends.

Somehow, I don't see Tsukasa's father the type of person that would be interested in online games...

I think Tsukasa was acting the way she did for several reasons, but the most important one was that half her memory was gone. Well... In the very first episode, Tsukasa panicked when she realized that she couldn't remember anything that happened before she woke up in that dungeon. Maybe she was trying to figure out what was going on, and Mimiru hanging around wasn't helping since she sorta seemed to pester Tsukasa. When you can hardly remember your own gender, you can't be blamed for acting harsh. That's just what I think.

Also, Tsukasa suffered a lot in the real world, and it seemed that the only things she could remember were the bad things. That could also explain why she was distant. I think all of this goes a lot deeper, but Tsukasa was a very hard character to understand.

Tsukasa's not schizophrenic, but she definitely has some issues to work out. I don't think they're hopelessly ingrained; she still has a chance to pull out and be happy. I'm so glad the creators decided to pair her up with Subaru ...
As to the first question: an interesting idea! That really goes back to the whole "is it just a game" issue. How much influence to the avatars have separate from the user? Do they count as individuals, or just roles? Are they "real?"
