I think thats the main reason that seperates anime and video games.In the games,you only know so little of the characters,and the anime,you get more indepth with it.If they were to Really make a fifth game about the characters...whats the point of making it into a game? When the main focus is explaining who they are,how they act in the real world,etc.Might as well as make it into an anime,seeing as how there is less gameplay involved and more "discussion".This is WHY games lack explanation over some characters.Some hints,and clues are thrown out though,so you cant really say..you dont understand the character that much,only half.To be honest, there's nothing wrong with the relationship Elk shares with Mia . . . it's just that . . . why can't there be a fifth game so we can see more of them!? >.<;
Why dont kite and blakrose connect

Depends on the game. If you play the Persona series, specifically Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, you can see how character development can run VERY deep in a game - and expand to a direct sequal.YashaOokami wrote:I think thats the main reason that seperates anime and video games.In the games,you only know so little of the characters,and the anime,you get more indepth with it.

To get an example of the depth, check out:

If you take a look at all that, you could probably figure out why I'd want a fifth game that deals directly with the characters.
In general, though, you watch characters in an anime, but you interact with them in games.
At least there's going to be "Unison" coming out soon. So that'll make up for the anime aspect - though I wish it were a series.
Since it seems that I'm in favor of both an anime and game continuation, I can say that I like expansion, and I'll take it in any medium offered.

There is always the "wants" from the audience..doesnt mean it will happen right away.Sometimes it does..sometimes it wont.We already know with Unison,but do you think it will be enough to satisfy the audience who want to know more about the characters?If you take a look at all that, you could probably figure out why I'd want a fifth game that deals directly with the characters.
We shall see..
Yes in general,seeing as how there is more time in the anime to explain the characters directly,than with games its based on "less talk,more game play",thats what they are meant to do really.It does not apply to all games though.I can understand you..interact with them..but does that still fill the player with enough to "know" the character 100%?In general, though, you watch characters in an anime, but you interact with them in games.

Well the thing is about a lack of information is that we can draw our own conclusions. But while on the subject of pairings, here's something I found in the back of my UdeDen manga:
Chibi-Elk: It's a fact!
Narrator: The truth about the .hack manga.
Producer: *Showing Rei Izumi sketches* Let's make it a romance comedy! No more of this RPG crap! I want to see more cute girls and lots of laughs!
Re Izumi: Why not throw in Elk and make it a love triangle?!
Producer: Why not throw in Mistral and make it a quadrangle!
Narrator: Bad ideas from the get-go.
[Next we see a very censored pencil sketch...]
Just something I found amusing. Sorry if that was off topic. Anyway, I don't find anything wrong with some pairings, but again, slopping some random people together doesn't work because there's nothing to back it up. I dunno... It would be funny if there was an anime ep where Kite and Black Rose got together. Can't wait till Unision. ^_^
By the way, Hello! *cough* I'm Cherry. I erm... hope I'm welcome 'round here... ^_^;;
