Maybe I should mention that Balmung has a degree of narccistic tendancy? I have to agree that book is just weird. It has some weird little facts that makes go WHAT!? And I usually choose not to believe them. It is just.. weird...

Mirelle is Mistral's daughter. She inherited the character from her mother. She won the chance to rename the character and chose the name Mirelle. She has no idea her mother was a member of the .hackers.

Unanswered is, however, if this is the same child Mistral was pregnant with or perhaps she had another child before all this. Based on Mistral's blurb though - it sounds like Mirelle might be the 4 year old daughter....

All the information I've seen uses the word for "favorite daughter" or something like that. it would make much sense if Mistral is busy raising the new one, and so she gives her favorite daughter her account. Also, just as a note, why do we spell her name "Mirelle" if it's her real name ("Mirei") + "yu" to make it cuter?

Per the .hack//Udeden radio drama bundled in .hack//INTEGRATION
Mirelle is Mistral's 4 year old daughter... *twitch* She has an IQ of around 200... apparently Ouka's player (a college student) serves as her home tutor....

Of course... I think the more disturbing part of the sound drama is that it turns out that Hotaru's player is a boy.... although supposedly, Hotaru's wavemaster is a male design too... which... doesn't sound right.

.hack//analysis says Hotaru is 'female' so I can't really tell if they just got things mixed up.

I agree,I mean look in the manga,when Hotaru is begging and pleading Shugo to stop attacking a monster.And for god's sake..Hotaru wears a pink outfit x_X;

Unless Hotaru is another Bridget [Bridget from Guilty Gear] then..um yeah o.o;
