Well, I was thinking of it as an advanced summon spell. Where the monster doesn't just appear, attack once, vanish, but stays there and continues to attack. And no doubt that Maha/Morganna can override his control of it, or at least influence it to a certain extent. Not completely, apparently, as seen in it's last appearance, but partially.
So, basically, he can summon it as will, but Maha can also summon it for him when his life is in danger. Or it can summon itself, since it's apparently a partial AI, when it's master is in danger.

... that wasn't either. Actually, what was the point of saying that? It was meant in harmlessness.Tsunami the Silver Dragon wrote:That's not funny.Duskino wrote:Eh, I think that one too. Recall episode 14? When Maha appeared, she was like, "Yoo-hoo~! Lookie! *points*"

O ... kay ... anyway!
It seems to me that the discussion revolves around the question of whether the guardian (Tsukasa's, at least) is a sentient AI or a slave program. Based on the way it acts - recognizing Tsukasa, disobeying his orders and attacking random players, appearing without anyone summoning it - I have to conclude that it's equal to Macha in free will ... if not intelligence.

The way I saw it, is that it is a Slave Program which is under direct control by a dominant A.I. Namely, Morganna, and Maha...
In Episode 24, the Guardian kills itself to protect Tsukasa, but if you look you can see Maha floating in the background, which makes me believe that this is Maha trying to protect Tsukasa. Which Maha does again in episode 25
I really don't care what anybody says. It is what I believe after all.
Even if you have proof, I won't change my belief. It is the same as religion. Even if you are wrong you still have faith in your belief.
This is just the way I feel and nobody can change that.
