What is with the .hack games?

Now then, you may say I'm wrong, but I think Elk is actually Tsukasa from .hack//sign. If you have played .hack//infection, you control a twin blade character, not a wavemaster. Once you progress through the game, you meet up with two characters; a cat player character named Mai and a shy wavemaster called Elk. Any resemblance?

So, to sum this all up Elk had a gender change (allright, I'm just kidding ). No, what I'm really saying is that Elk is actually Tsukasa, and that Mai is actually Maha. Over the years, Maha starts to become involved with Morganna (who knows how). This in turn starts to get Tsukasa involved, and eventually led him to finding the Key of the Twilight. Whoever finds this doesn't become all powerful, but a tool for an experiment. At least that what I think...

Elk is not Tsukasa. Elk is a guy in real life, while Tsukasa's player is a girl. Besides, they're both in the same place at the same time in episode 28 of SIGN, so they can't be the same person.

eh... no... you need to play more of the games and watch more of the anime. Here's a run down.

Tsukasa's purpose was to keep Aura from awakening.
But instead Tsukasa awakened Aura.
Mia is Maha...yes. She hangs out with Elk because somewhere deep down he reminds her of Tsukasa.
Whoever finds the Key of Twilight doesn't become all powerful.
The Key is not an Item to be found in the first place.
Aura is the Key of the Twilight.
Her purpose was create an evolving "system" or "virtual evolution" if you will...
