Hm... a strange thought just came to my mind.

Data Drain in reverse....

This is without question, well maybe, a potential power.

If the Data Drain takes someone's consiousness out of the person's body then what about the opposite way around?

One of the phases could somehow make themselfs become the consiousness that replases the one of the coma victims.

Example:

Sieg is Data Drained by Skeith and then Skeith uses the reverse Data Drain to enter Sieg's real world body.

Just a passing thought nothing more.
"For all the Dreamers out there, our planet's dream isn't over yet."

"Jill, this is for you."

that would be interesting, but then how would it act in the real world?

it would seem it would have to eat, the social life.

ur thought can start a very rational topic (not to mention make a great fan fic)

do u propose any way to "reverse Reverse Data Drain"?

It keeps the same...

Yin yang theori...
Data drain power
Meaning of Twilight
Meaning of Liminality... all the same.
Both have 2 side and oposide, and exist to help and to destroy each other...

if you can understand this theori... may be you will find the true story of dot hack, what harald wants....
Nothing takes the past away, like the future
Nothing makes the darkness go, like the light
You're shelter from the storm
Give me comfort in your arm

we understand the theory, we are just wondering about a "what if"

(kinda like those history books they tell what would have happened if sumthing else happened like the Allies losing WW2.....OFF TOPIC)

harald wanted to introduce wavering into the world (the gyst of it)

well then... what would happen if the wavering went to a new extreme......the outside switches with the inside while the outside is in the inside

Don't you mean the outside switches with the inside while the inside is outside?

An anime series that has the same sci-fi sense as the Matrix (i.e. the outside merges with the inside)

I guess the main connection to Lain we're seeing here is that a dead person can still communicate with a person in the 'living world.' I believe that Bear's sig. once went something like "Everwhere you go, everyone's connected."

This sounds a lot like AI Harold... if he were dead that was. Wait, is Harold dead?!

(thinks this is correct)
Harold is dead but he left fragments of himself in "the World".

Then what is AI Harald designed to do? To pass on a message or something?
