i agree which in that case, the aromatic grass cant be for that purpose.

But Macha was destroyed just before that happened. She disappeared into bubbles of light in front of the guardians. I think it's unlikely that she had anything to do with the portal for that reason.

The portal appears right on the spot where the blade of grass lands on the ground. That leads me to believe that it had something to do with it.

Exactly. I think Maha probably did something to the grass to create a portal. Like Brad_Evans said, Maha created the portal.

(And to get all detail like, Maha didn't disappear in bubbles, she disappeared in a jumble of 1s and 0s ^_^)

I agree with En der and say that would be a conclusion to the reason why where Maha threw the grass in the exact spot where Tsukasa and Subaru was and she must've reprogrammed it...it is possible since she's a phase of Morganna she sould be able to reprogram stuff should't she?

If we're getting technical and picky, watch the ep again - it's both 1s and 0s AND bubbles of light, but that's irrelevant.

For the DD -> Aromatic grass theory, there seems to be nothing to back it up ^^; When Sora was DDed, nothing comes out of it.

I'll quote myself in response to this:

You have to look at who or what is doing the Drain. In the one case when we see the blade of grass, it was after Morganna drained Tsukasa. The other times it was either Macha or a Guardian.

For me, it looks more like Tsukasa's picking up a random item. Harald was technically the creator of aromatic grass, if he really wants to make a ultimate AI, he would make every item for every feeling the phases are collecting, not just Aromatic grass.

Indeed. I never said there were no items for the other phases.. just the simple fact that not all data (items) in the game have to be visible to players.

I'll accept the theory that Macha created the portal, but it just seems a little odd. Bleh, she didn't quote "throw the grass in the exact spot where Tsukasa and Subaru was" - it feel from her hand as she was being DD'd (If you look closely it actually disappeared with her).

i agree, i think the location of the "deleted" blade of grass was more symbolic than mathmatical where portals are involved.

yeah, there's a slight problem with that theory. You see, as a user said before, the blade of grass fell from Maha's hand, it was not thrown. She wouldn't have saved them from the guardians (her kamikaze mission) if she would just send them to another relm to then be destroyed.

I think when Maha got data drained, Morganna wanted to replace her so she created the portal in hope that one of the players would step into so she could make them a phase.

I highly doubt that, but I'm just putting my ideas out there.
