Small plot hole
Maybe Harold didn't think about that at the time or maybe he had no other allternative. Besides Sora didn't side with Morganna til the end of .hack//SIGN like episode 22 or something. At first he just wanted to find the Key of the Twilight for the sake of finding it, he didn't have any interest in it, so he was going to give it to BT. He says this in one of the episodes. But maybe Harold was thinking like Aura when she gave the braclet to Kite; she would have perfered to give it to Orca, but then he got data drained, so she gave it to Kite, since he was her only other option, and hoped he would do the right thing with it. And also, since the original note was kind of unclear and needed to be analized, Harold probably hoped that the person(s) who came there were fairly smart as well, and wouldn't be blinded by power.

I agree with Mannshjj on this one, this seems the most probable, besides, if Sora realized that Aura was a living thing that would actually suffer, he probably would of double crossed Morganna like he did in episode 26, he obviously realized that Aura was real like everyone else did, and I think that Sora is a good person deep down, like when he just wants to be friends, and never meant any harm (im not saying he cant be a total dick, but he only sees it as a game and doesnt realize his actions have consequences, i bet he's nothing like that in real life, if he was, i could see him stabbing his mom in the neck when she whines about his hour long time limit on the computer XD)

Actually, I believe Sora only interviened with Morganna in episode 26 because it was his best opportunity to get to Tsukasa and ask him to be his friend. So, what Sora did was solely for his own satisfaction; he didn't do it because he had any emotions for Aura.
Still, I do beleive Sora is still a good person, deep down inside. I mean deep, deep, deep, deep down... Center of the Earth deep down...

What satisfaction would Sora get out of being Tsukasa's friend? Yes, I know some people think it's he wants to be famous like Tsukasa, but if he PK'ed enough people then couldn't he aquire that fame himself? (Or at least be infamous) He probably wants to be Tsukasa's friend because he wants to. When Aura awoke, he would probably want to be her friend to.

I would have to disagree. As much as I love the little maniac, Sora has proven himself to be a self-centered little brat throughout the whole series. The only reason he wanted to be Tsukasa's friend was because of his situation, hoping he would find some action. Everything Sora did, was for himself.

well in episode 28 Sora goes into an alley and cries out of lonliness, and Tsukasa invites him to dance with them and he cheers up, so I think all he wanted was attention, think about it, friends, killing players, finding the Key of the Twilight, all things that would get him attention, and attention is very important to a 4th grader

I beleive he was crying because he finally realized how much a jerk he was, and thanks to the way he treated everyone else, no one would want to be his friend. Still, his acts for attention were out of his own intrest. He wanted attention, so he did everything he could so he could attention for himself. He didn't care about anyone else.

Agreed, but that does not happen until the last 15 or so minutes of the series...YamiJared wrote:true, not at first, but then he decided that there might be something to the friendship thing after Tsukasa's pwning speech, and he STARTED to care
