so what happens to mimiru, bear, crimson and the rest.

are they in hack dusk?

why is aura protrayed as an evil being now?

if aura is gonna be an evil being.. tsukasa should hv just let aura shrivel

so what happens to mimiru, bear, crimson and the rest.

Mimiru, Crim, Bear, and Sora all appear in the game series, they just continued playing normally (with the exception of Sora, who's a special case). Tsukasa and Subaru both stopped playing the game (they found what they had been searching for in real life apparently). B.T. I believe still plays the game occasionally, as does Ginkan, but I can't be 100% sure.

In the manga, so far they haven't... Ginkan (Crimson Knight) appears in one episode of the anime, but since that isn't part of the offical series, it doesn't really matter.

but they called her aura.

lol and i still hvn figured out what the hell aura does in the game..

if morgana is the game, who was supposed to birth aura... what is the purpose of aura... most of them don't know her purpose.. just that.. she is linked to tsukasa

From what I gather from this thread, isn't Morganna (Man, I gotta watch more .hack; I don't even know who Morganna IS yet...) supposed to "die" and Aura (the floating girl, right?) is supposed to obtain her information and stuff? But Morganna's still alive and won't give up, so Aura's still konked out. Right?

...Or is Aura still konked out because Morganna is keeping Tsukasa miserable, and so he hasn't logged out...? And why is Morganna concerned with keeping Tsukasa from logging out, if he CAN'T log out...?

This is confusing...

[spoiler]hmm i guess Aura is like a patch to the game?

morgana is the game itself. but somehow the creator screwed up somewhere, and morgana went evil and players are being harmed. and it struck me when u said Aura was supposed to take over morgana, so i guess Aura's purpose was to wake up, inherit the information, and everything in The World would be solved. the problem of players going into a coma would be solved.

my theory is that Morgana wanted to destroy Aura by twisting her innocence to evil, aka turning her into dark aura. but Tsukasa is needed as he is full of depressing thoughts, which is needed to twist Aura into Dark Aura.

its been debated that tsukasa is not special in any case, just coincident that he is being chosen, morgana could hv chosen anyone else.

and isn't it striking that Aura is very much like tsukasa, both of them are in a coma state, one in the real world, and the other is in the game. and both need each other to wake up, to wake up. poetic.

Aura being asleep and Tsukasa being unable to log out is interlinked. firstly he doesn't even want to log out, he is using this game as an escape from his sad life, until he got data drained and he went into a coma, but he was stuck inside the game.

my speculation is that

tsuakasa was using the game as an escape from reality, and morgana detected his sad sad thoughts, decided to use him, data drained him, he went into a coma in real life, but his mind is stuck in the game and thats when episode 1 start.[/spoiler]

Due to an idiotic move by the person who programed them, a bit of code known as "wavering" was put into the Morganna program, which caused her to malfunction. She became too intelligent for her purpose, and came to realize what her own fate would be. (Deletion by Aura when she woke up). So she took measures to keep Aura from awakening.[/spoiler]
