Tom's true purpose was to trick us into thinking that this series was as dark as //SIGN....damn you Tom!

methinks "Tom's" purpose in the beginning of the seires (the DD one...) is to show that things are once again going weird in the World: unbeatable monster-ness, ect. ect...
