....... *brain breaks*
Well, this episode pretty much throws the theory that this strange AI is Morgana or Maha out the window o_O; She may be related to them, but her name is Moruti.
Her voice is not the voice of Morgana, either (Tanaka Rie)
Her voice is the voice of -Aura-. (Sakamoto Maaya)
And, as Tsukasa noted, should we all be afraid that the title of the next episode is 'End of the World'?
Mmm... Yes. Yes, I think we should.

What the ???
Is Tsukasa the only SIGN member that just shows up in 10? My brain is about to break to if when I see this episode it makes no sense in the grand scheme of things...this series is slowly becoming more volatile and action packed then SIGN....Orrrroooooooo......

Puhi Puhi puhiiiiii!!!!
I think Sora was referring to the Tsukasa here on this board. n.n; There's no way that Tsukasa in the series could comment on something such as the title of an episode. XD
Wow... Aura's type does seem to have a history of coming out with new versions, doesn't she? o.o; Like Lycoris?

Probably not.. at least, not yet.
There's an odd phenomenon with anime made from manga that isn't even complete yet. Often, there are a few different outcomes that occur when the plot of the anime catches up with the released manga. Since anime is produced faster than the comics, and moves faster as well, the creators of both have a dillema.
Do they keep going with the plot as the manga-ka has planned, or do they go off on their own little plot for a while, and maybe even eventually return to the plot once more of it has been finished by the manga-ka.
.hack//DUSK is an odd manga, however, because I don't know that the artist gets a heck of a lot of freedom with the characters and the story. As this is an established series created as a whole from the beginning, they need to be pretty strict on what can and cannot happen in the plot of 'their world'. I don't actually know how much the creators dictates the plot of the manga and the anime, but I know they'd keep a pretty close eye on it.
But meanwhile, they're probably doing something like this:
A) The manga-ka and the animators were given the same plot and the freedom to get to the same end however they wanted, or...
B) The manga will catch up to what's going on in the anime, or...
C) The anime will get on track with what's going on in the manga.
I have no idea, though, really. And I had more to say, but I got distracted and forgot where I was going >_>;
Ahem. Right.

Ahem. Right.
Or do they pull what Gainax pulled at the end of KareKano? (@.@)Sora wrote:Do they keep going with the plot as the manga-ka has planned, or do they go off on their own little plot for a while, and maybe even eventually return to the plot once more of it has been finished by the manga-ka.
At least Mahoromatic stopped at a good point.

Episode 10
As Far as episode 10 is concerned, I'm a lil confused...I just saw a very raw non-subbed version, which tended to skip over important scenes because the timing was poor...I was curious to know, did Moruti actually elminate Rena's PC as well in her craziness, or does she reappear in 10"[/u]
Puhi Puhi puhiiiiii!!!!
It can still be Morganna.
Whoever this is, she's the likely reason the evil kid hackers (a friend of mine calls them "Chibi-SEELE") knew about Data Drain, Kite and Blackrose, etc. So she had access to the info.
However, notice. "Moruti" has two different eyes. (the second eye is surrounded with different color skin) she's also got different hair on either side of her head.
Also, she was babbling about "transcending death" just like the girl hacker was in the episode.
My theory...
She's a fused being. Sometime after the games, Morganna, with the destruction of the Phases, and weakened to being just a voice, encounters the Kid Hackers. She teaches them how to do all sorts of things, with the intention of getting their confidence. Once they start things for her, she manages to completely "befriend" one of them. The girl. She downloads herself into the girl's brain. However, she wasn't able to get rid of the original personality. The result is "Moruti." A combination of _Mor_ganna, and whatever the hacker girls's name is. (something-"uti?") Not knowing Japanese names well enough, I couldn't hazard a guess.
Oh, also...this has apparently caused her to go insane.

No offense Mr. Taft, but a large portion of what you say tends to be totally inaccurate.
Now, for your latest theory: The phases and Morgana co-exist, and Morgana is in turn The world. So:
Hurt Phase -> Hurt Morgana -> Hurt The World.
... moral of the story is, that IF Kite kills off the eight phases, he would then:
Destroy Morgana -> Destroy The World
Which means:
Your theory was nullified.

His theory isn't entirely nullified yet...Game 4 is gonna tell us a lot about what ACTUALLY happens....we're all just speculating...

Actually...
Sorry Rhyste, but I do have the import. As to that, I'm not sure...but I still think we should wait for Vol 4 to dismiss the rumors. Yes, you're right, Morgana and the phases ARE The World, but still...
