Mystery of Edge

Post by Furik »

I always wondered what the melody part of the song is saying.
Every translation I look at, only translate the song and not that part.
You know what I mean? The really pretty part with the girl singing. lol
I dunno how to explain it ^^;

Here's a sample of what I mean.

I see what you mean,I dont know what they are saying though, but I like how it gives more of an effect to the song then just regular music playing.

Actually, most lyrics DO translate it...

...well, the solo verse anyway.

The background vocals basicly chant parts of the solo verse, while acting as "echos" during the singing.

Here, I'll list it in full:

1st time:

Fragment from solo verse: ashita ni wa miete kuru donna mirai o shinjite...

Echo Chants: hontou wa

sagashiteru

kanjiteru

shinjitsu

dake o

shiritakute

koko ni iru

2nd Part:

It's the solo verse, so it's self explainitory

3rd Part:

Part from Solor Verse: ...donna mirai o shinjite tasogare no shizukesa o mou ichido mitsukeru tame ni...

Echo Chants: utatteru

koko ni iru

****

I'll try to see if I can get the translations later, but quite frankly, this should be somewhat easy to translate for any average japanese translator.

I can't help very much on this part. I get the saying, but I can't translate it very well. ^___^;;;

I'll edit in a translation later.

Another comment, I don't know the context these are coming from. They could be 'you feel' or 'i feel', for example, depending on the context. Japanese often plays on letting the listener assume the subject of the sentence.

I'm going to edit my response continually, because while I can understand most of this, I'm not incredibly coherent (I just woke up). z.z; However, as I'm more awake, I'll probably be able to get the other parts. ^____^;
Echo Chants: hontou wa
"Really..."
sagashiteru
"I am seeking..."
kanjiteru
"I feel..."
shinjitsu
"I believe."
dake o
-will edit in later-
shiritakute
-will edit in later-
koko ni iru
"I am here."
Part from Solor Verse: ...donna mirai o shinjite tasogare no shizukesa o mou ichido mitsukeru tame ni...
-will edit in later-
utatteru
"I am singing."
koko ni iru
"I am here."

I'll help with the bigger translations:

1st Time Fragment from Verse: ashita ni wa miete kuru donna mirai o shinjite

(Tomorrow, believing in whatever kind of future is visible)

3rd Time Fragment: donna mirai o shinjite
tasogare no shizukesa o mou ichido mitsukeru tame ni aruiteru
kono basho o

([This may be a bit inaccurate before the comma]: Believing in the visible future, We'll be walking in order to once again discover the serenity of the
twilight
Walking in this place)
