So why is ALTIMIT orange?

As far as "technical aspects" are concerned, why is ALTIMIT's default scheme orange? Does the color orange have specific effects on the subconscious? I mean, I like the orange set-up and all, but could there be more to it then we realize?

True, there are other color options, at least in the ps2 game. I've only seen LIMINALITY vol. 1, and everytime ALTIMIT was shown, it was orange. I assume (based on LIMINALITY & the initial orange background in the ps2 game) that "OrangeBlossom" is the standard scheme for ALTIMIT (kinda like "Windows Standard"). Maybe there's no reason for this, or maybe there is...

About the effect of the color orange, I just found this (with Google, of course) and i think it's interesting:

Orange light, more or less the color of the Sun, is used for the calming of, or the spiritual renunciation of, over indulgence. The warmth of the Sun makes us slower and 'lazy', more relaxed and calmer. take the heat of it away, and you've got a beautiful and inviting light that fills the home. Thus, orange light is used to help soothe the soul (more or less) when it comes to the over indulgence of material, monitary or destructive things within a person's life (yes, the spiritual realm is included here as well).

Maybe they just thought orange looked good, or it was the director's favorite color, or even one of the voice actor's choice.

Perhaps they wanted something attention getting, which orange certainly is (note that most construction workers wear neon orange vests).

Or perhaps it has something to do with the fact that it's just about the only color a main character from either .hack//SIGN or .hack//Infection isn't wearing. >.>;

i beleave it is orange and not red. but there also is the other skeems of altimit. blue and green i think?

But just think of the type of mood the color makes(e.g. red=power). Orange has a sort of mystery to it. Like when looking at a dungion from the outside. OOooo the color of sandstone

Weeeeelll....according to the "Frog Grunty," Kite wears red: Master! You're looking very red today! Ribbit!" Or something like that. Admittedly, it is a very cadmium red.
