It's quite the oligarcy, several mod's no free speech, and where creativity is looked highly upon. I couldn't imagine a nation using a code as such. More like that of a public school. But hey, we choose to be here, right?
Edit:
It's not up to us to deside what rules to keep. I have no problem with the 6k limit. If it had been a problem, I'd find another forum. The Mods do things pretty well around here, I'd say.
6KB?

You did see what Bear posted, right?. H A C K // S O R A wrote:here is a sugestion have in your profile 2 avatars that you can select on small 6k one and another 20k one. now in your profile you can select high bandwith or low bandwith. and get the respective avatars?
If we get nothing more than complaints, I'll find it halfway tempting to just lock this post and ask Bear to turn off the avatars. We've been nice about this, and I'm finding this absolutely preposterous that people having nothing better to complain about something as silly as avatars. c.c;; If you want a board with large fancy avatars, we're not stopping you from making one.Looking at the total number of avatar pictures downloaded this month, and assuming that only 15% of posters took advantage of the new 20K limit, this would also add $1.00 to our monthly bandwidth costs.
And I state it again from my last post. This isn't even a political situation. This is simply a situation of people trying to make sure other people respect the rules that are posted for private property. It's quite the oligarcy, several mod's (SysOps of my day), no free speech, and where creativity is looked highly upon. I couldn't imagine a nation using a code as such. But hey, we choose to be here, right?

That's exactly why we keep the avatar levels as low as we do. Just as a note, though, if there is a sig image that recieves complaints, we do have the power to remove it.
...we also have the power to remove the ability to use images in sigs total. Don't spoil that for the rest of the board. Thank you. u.u

The mods are Nazis because YOUR image editing software sucks so much that it can't handle compression down to 6KB?Kama wrote:the avatar limit isn't really a big deal. But nazi moderators are the worst. being unable to comply with the masses is how dictatorships and dry boards form.
go away now plz k thx.
