It's quite the oligarcy, several mod's no free speech, and where creativity is looked highly upon. I couldn't imagine a nation using a code as such. More like that of a public school. But hey, we choose to be here, right?

Edit:
It's not up to us to deside what rules to keep. I have no problem with the 6k limit. If it had been a problem, I'd find another forum. The Mods do things pretty well around here, I'd say.

You did see what Bear posted, right?
Looking at the total number of avatar pictures downloaded this month, and assuming that only 15% of posters took advantage of the new 20K limit, this would also add $1.00 to our monthly bandwidth costs.
If we get nothing more than complaints, I'll find it halfway tempting to just lock this post and ask Bear to turn off the avatars. We've been nice about this, and I'm finding this absolutely preposterous that people having nothing better to complain about something as silly as avatars. c.c;; If you want a board with large fancy avatars, we're not stopping you from making one.

And I state it again from my last post. This isn't even a political situation. This is simply a situation of people trying to make sure other people respect the rules that are posted for private property.

i actually dont realy mind as mutch. i am glad there is no limit on sig size but to be kind to 56k users i keep my sigs under 30k if i wanted to i could have a 150K animated sig. but i think for any board image under 30k is good. keeps the pages loading fast.

That's exactly why we keep the avatar levels as low as we do. Just as a note, though, if there is a sig image that recieves complaints, we do have the power to remove it.

...we also have the power to remove the ability to use images in sigs total. Don't spoil that for the rest of the board. Thank you. u.u

6k is plenty. Why, back in my professor's days, 6k was an elegent, top of the line computer!

The mods are Nazis because YOUR image editing software sucks so much that it can't handle compression down to 6KB?
