Well I recommend you just fight the big armored thunder guys and the Phoenix queens, since they both give fairly good exp. Also you can try and Open all field portals and dungeons, which really helps to feed off boredom and get the Ryu Books get completed for vol. 2.
One other thing, I recommend to equip both Elk and Mistral the Dark History wand and not the Starstorm Wand since it takes off just as much damage but wastes alot less SP, which is essential for dungeons and stuff.

You know what, I honestly never paid any attention to what level I was at. If I had trouble beating a dungeon, I would just go somewhere else and level up for a while before going back. Played too many RPGs to worry about the number, just looking for a challenge!

I went into MUTATION at level 34 with 20 hours and 40something minutes. Around hour 24 with 15 minutes or so, I was level 47. 3 hours later, I was level 51. I don't know why someone would want to level up so much in one game if it's so easy to level up in the next... Seems kind of pointless to me.
