You're right. I was playing Infection yesterday and I DID notice that. It's called "Epitaph 00" I believe.

I'll edit what it says in a couple o minutes.

Edit:

Well whadda ya know! It actually says shadowed and not shadowless!
Maybe we're wrong bout the twilight dragon after all (or maybe not, who knows)

hmmmn.. weird, I am playing Japanese, version and it says shadowless. Hmmm......

As the shadowed one is Cubia as Aura said in vol.4 And Aura is reverse of the Cubia. And the Wave is Morganna...... hmmm..... translation error?

And the Epitaph 00 said the Shadowed Girl is hunted by the Wave...... it don't make sense. As Morganna have no ability to hunt Cubia....... This might be trablsation error, But i'll check again incase I am wrong.

Oh and I doubled check the Epitaph on Sora page, and it seem I am wrong at that side. Instead of shadowed on or shadowless one, it says "Saya who first carried the shadow" meaning Saya(whoever he is) is the only person who has the shadow. And at the end of Ch.1-6 it says The Story of those 3 who has the shadow(Saya, Maki, and Whtie Human). This is getting confusing.... I am sort of lost..... Now who is the real shadowed one?????

I need soem help. I am trying to reranalyze the whole onfo. But it isn't wroking out well. Who here is fluent in Japoanese can help me out?

The only one fluent in Japanese, that I know of, is Kite, and he's been somewhat distant as of late. He's messing around with volume four right now, perhaps he'll feel like translating it sometime.

we ar egettign nowhere. I get Rhyste to help me figure th emenaing of the text I trnalsated. But there is just too much posisbeility of interpreation.

Kite now might be Twilight Dragon or the three travelers who has the shadow(Saya) as now he sesm to be fititng both role.

And DUSK is the name of Helba's Queendom. Which I can figure out countless interpretation on what is it. As now Net Slum might wither be the Rainbow or the DUSK.

And I have ABSOLUETLY NO IDEA!! What does Dragon Bone Mountain Path means to the game, it simply says to be where Twilgiht Dragon lives, NOR who is the monkey that speaks man's words.

And Black Maki hates DUSK, which is diretc opposite in the game, it is Balmung who is white who hates Net Slum.

TOOOOOO CONFUSING!!!!!!

We didn't really figure out much at all, but we did figure out how the hell //UdeDen was named //DUSK.

Kite says the Twilight is in the morning, mean Dusk is at night, AFTER the Twilight.

Actually, Twilight is the early evening, directly after the sun has set. Dusk is the darker stage of the twilight, when it really starts to look like night, but it isn't completely dark yet.

And I'm going to request that you at least -attempt- to type legibly, Niu, if you want to discuss things and speculate. If we can't understand a word you say, of -course- this isn't going to get anywhere >_>

Twilight can be either at morning or evening. In Vol.4 Kite has figured out the Twilight here means the Morning Twilight rather then evening Twilight before the fight of Covernick and realise they still have the chance to defeat a phase without the bracelet. And it is confirmed by the second Install Book Aura gave to Kite. As the first install book is the Book of Evening Twilight and the second install book is been rephrased in the Book of Morning Twilight.

So .hack//DUSK is called DUSK as it is after the morning twilight.

That is what confuse me. Twilight Dragon is who reveal the unexpected truth to Saya. While when Kite reveals the Twilight to be morning twilight, everyone, the revelation is unepxected to everyone including Helba. And Kite did drive away the wave like the dragon did as the epitaph said. But then Kite also fits the role of Saya as Saya is actually who goes over all the quest and adventure to hunt the wave and seeks for the dragon.

As for my poor english, I am sorry as I am not a native english speaker so I makes mistakes costantly. But I'll try to be more careful.

I haven't played volume four yet, but what you've described seems to make sense. I sensed someone would have to come to some sudden revalation regarding the meaning of the twilight.. I've seen it used for both dawn and dusk, as it merely describes that slight darkness, not necessarily whether it's in morning or evening.

I am more convinced that Kite is the Saya now. As when Harold was speaking to Kite he said "Traveler, the darkest moment always comes before the morning." Harold calls Kite the traveler while Saya is the traveler in the epitaph.

And this is my interpretation on DUSK. DUSK is atually the beginning of the 4 volume game. As Harold said darkest moment comes before morning, which he use to imply the battle with Covernick. And Drakness comes after DUSK. So DUSK actually implies the beginning of the game, then the night hich is the darkest moment of fighting Coernick, and the morning twilight that comes in the end of game.
