Knowing the ending does not necessarily mean you know everything there is to know about .hack//SIGN, and certainly not enough to make a good argument.

Unless you've seen at LEAST 70% of the released material, I don't think you can make a seriously well-founded speculation, unless you're just good like that.

I've fallen behind on the game information, as I lack A) all 4 games and B) the time to play them, so I have to rely on my information from Kite, who -has- played all four, and read AI Busters, etc etc. I'm at more of a risk when I make arguments, as I may be missing some vital information, because if someone points something out that I've missed, there goes my theory.

Anyway, try to think about this before you go off making wild theories about things that are, for the most part, already explained.

Umm... To tell you the truth I've been having the same speculation about that chained Statue, like it being there to seal something away, maybe sealing away Aura's power?

Now before you go off saying "Aura has no power thats why she gets kite to help her!!111" And all that, She does have power, and its quite alot of power, while its not an absolute power(Obviously) It is a power as such. She did create the bracelet to begin with, and that alone has the power to defeat the problems in "The world" You know the old saying, You can only create something as good as yourself. You can't give something intellegence that you don't first have sort of thing.

That idea seems relavent, while it is speculation, its a pretty good one in my opinion.

I understand that Aura made the braclet, but why couldn't she just use it herself? There's a possibility that the braclet is stronger than she is right, so maybe becuase she's an AI she can't use it? Or is it just out of her control? I do agree with your theory though Atomsk, aura does have some kind of power. ^^

Haha starting to sound like theology. If god is all powerful (or in this case powerful), why doesn't he use his own power instead of letting men deal with it. Hopefully this question will be answered alot easier then what men have been strugling with for generations.

I remember an strip of Underpower where the Supreme Omnipotent Beings charge Mr Cynical with taking care of their arch rival, some evil elder god. They then claim they could easily do it themselves, but what would the fun in that be. Besides it would be so embarassing to be defeated by a mortal, haha jokes on them.

Anyways, from what else I have read, it seems like Aura is a method to an end means, but she cannot conduit that energy herself. It seems like a revolution is trying to take place by Herold, who has planted the seeds for it. I can't wait to find out more. Keep posting thoughts..
Um... That is just the American site mixing things up. They should have put a picture of a treasure box there, that pedistal is just a pedistal. Besides that, they mixed up a few other things on that site too. :?
Hmm...

Post by .Hack//Beo »

I remember somewhere...
Didn't Tusaka open that pedistal in episode one?
Isen't it called the rune of the Twilight?

And about Auras power. I think she is an AI because, whoever goes into a coma, their "human mind power" goes to Aura. I thinks that is why she was awakened. Tusaka let Aura use his "brain power" to boot her up.
Just an Idea :)
... who quests for the Twilight Dragon ...

First question: No. He opened the treasure chest at the end of the dungeon he met Mimiru in.

Second question: No. There is no Rune of the Twilight. There is the Bracelet, the Epitaph, the Key... There's the Twilight Dragon, the Twilight Onion.. But no Rune of the Twilight.

And Aura is, yes, an AI. We know this pretty well. And I don't think that she is powered by 'human mind power' or anything like that >_> Nobody but Tsukasa went into a coma during //SIGN, really, at least.. before he woke her up.

I think we've mostly agreed that it wasn't mind power, but -willpower- and the course of events that lead up to things that allowed Tsukasa to awaken Aura and start things moving.

Sometimes people need to do things for themselves. Also aura may have the power it takes to defeat Morgana, but she needs Tsukasa to open it and control it.
P.S. I broke 100!
Kenshin is awesome!
