Key Items??????

in the game you get these items that say they do certain like power pu your character but when you try to use them a warning sign coms up saying that you can't use them what is the purpose of the items if you cant use them are they for some thing for the nxt one

Those items are to juist show that Kite's character cannot be overwritten and that he isn't affected by certain effects, like Data Drain.

Acually Yami Zero, [spoiler]When you play Skeith in the first game, he can data drain you.[/spoiler]

Xeno, [spoiler]you just have to preform enough data drains and you will get the books[/spoiler]

and Knight, [spoiler]you will most likly be able to use the books, but probably won't be untell the end of the 4th game.[/spoiler]

Actually,

[spoiler]The first book you receive is from a contest that the system admins whipped up in order to try to stop your character from Data Draining. The Book of Law was designed to "correct" your character so Kite can't Data Drain anymore, but because of some unusual protection from the system the book doesn't work. Same reason the Book of Absolute doesn't work when they switch it for the Book of Law. Rhyste has said many times that these books simply do not do anything and since she's played through most of the Japanese versions I'm inclined to believe her.[/spoiler]

They do nothing, period.

what I don't get, is why they don't work....

Because Kite's character data is so well protected, it can't get deleted.
