OOOOOHHH!!! That must be why Mimiru acted so dang nervous! They weren't supposed to be able to get to the upside-down castle, right?†?Hª©k// KÃtꙆwrote:Yeah the square thingy! yeah it was weird but it was also really cool. I think those squares are the same ones from the game .hack, but in .hack there are lines and those lines means that the field was a Restricted Area.....may be it is the same for .hack//SIGN in that episode. May be it was a restricted area and somehow Tsukasa and the others got to that field because of Tsukasa's contact with Aura....

Actually, the lines aren't because they're restricted. They're restricted areas because what is causing the lines to show up. They're interference in the data of the field through the viral data that is now interlaced with it. The A Tone that shows up with those is supposedly the beginning of what causes a player to fall into a coma, as it its pitch and frequency cause a direct effect on the player's body.†¤Hª©k// KÃtꙆwrote:Well remember that liminality is just what happen in the real world that is affected by the world, liminality is just in the real world and the caused that is having because of the world (the game). The sounds are similar because when Mai Minase was on the game that was the last sound she heard before she enter into a coma. In the game .hack the lines that appears as if it was an interference are caused because the area is restricted.....I'm just saying that may be the area where Tsukasa and the others went was restricted and they could enter because of Tsukasa's comunication with Aura.
Most likely, with this in mind, the area was restricted to keep players from getting into it with that exact thing in mind.
However, the Upside Down Castle is another story all together. This wasn't exactly a restricted field. This was a field from Fragments that was never removed from the game. Thus finding a gate to it, like what BT did, led them to be able to find their way in and see if the Key of the Twilight is there...ichi wrote:OOOOOHHH!!!
But it isn't. When the rumors of the Key of the Twilight were started, a message in German was posted onto the BBS before it got deleted. This message left the clues to direct the people who could understand it, to find the Harold AI... who would tell them about Aura if they knew about her.
Wasn't sure wheher or not this needed a tag...
Basically theyd have to know alot already about what was going on or they would never figure it out. Tsukasa wouldnt have known what Harold was talking about if he hadnt met Aura and Morgana.
The tone makes sense to be the cause of a coma. There are various sounds that can make you feel differently. Sometimes sounds that are just barely audible. They can make you feel sick, sad, give you head aches. I've never heared of a sound that makes people fall into a coma IRL. I just always thought that a lack of adrenaline was responsible for that. But if you're trying to make any sense of a fictional world, you could suppose that a certain sound (I'd doubt it would be a clear A note) could mess around with your adrenal glands. But if you could really figure all this out, you'd have a massive weapon on your hands. Such as putting an entire nation into a coma with just a TV or radio station. An easy war eh, sounds more like genocide.
So... maybe Mimiru was freaked out because it made her feel queasy? Maybe that... but I don't think that the sound put them into the coma, just maybe (forgive my creativity) "opened their minds" a bit to get them ready for the coma, bringing his/her mind into the game kinda thing. Sorry, it's stupid....
