The first pic of the cards from the Decipher game.
To be honest, as excited about the game as I was (I started this subject, after all), that pic does not give me great hope for the game. I had heard it was going to be a simple game with lots of depth, which I thought was fine. Fast paced games can be good. I was still hoping for a product that was marekted toward the existing fanbase that .hack has, i.e. the older than average Anime fan. That pic leads me to believe that they are going the Pokemon route. I hope I cam wrong and the other cards remedy this. For example, the one PC card they have looks great and doesn't scream "kids only":

that sounds liek a lot of fun, im a little worried it will be too complicated for everyone to understand though... do they have a way of making such a huge and diverse world of gaming into a challenging but reasonable game? i dont want see another freaking pseudo-pokemon craze again...
I am going to live forever or die tryying.

Remember,
According to Decipher, this game isn't a representation of the anime or the games. In other words, the card game isn't looking to retell either of those things in card form, but add another piece of the .hack universe.
Tha being said, the game has a definite direction. The name says it all, .hack//Enemy. That is, the game concentrates on the enemies of .hack, not on the PC's, like the anime and games do.
Hopefully, this isn't an excuse to see another, " freaking pseudo-pokemon", but we'll just have to wait and see.
