Is Helba not a player but an AI?

That goes along with my theory...that "she's" really the Man In Black from Liminality 3 and 4. Does the .hack//Encyclopedia confirm gender?

I'm still drawing a blank. I don't see why I would say that, as no information confirming nor denying Helba's identity has been shown, and I haven't had any theories regarding her prior to this one. So I don't see why that would be "ahead."

It must of been before 5/14/2003 though, because I'm checking my posts and can't find it.

Doesn't matter. If I said that, then I was loony at the time. It's a good theory. Which goes back to my original question, is Helba's true gender mentioned in the enclopedia

Maybe I'm pouncing here but what do you mean until Liminality 3? You don't change from an AI into a human, that's just not possible, even for .hack//.

Yeah, in OVA 3, they meet "Kuro no Bito", who's a "representative" for Helba. I personally think that he's not lying about that. And regarding the "security analyst", I think that that was Kuro no Bito's excuse for them being hackers... "Isn't a hacker pretty much the same as a security analyst?"
