Tsukasa Loging out
Your mind holds the information. When the mind is plucked from the body into the game it takes the game as it's new reality... Thus it applies all of the circumstances of living... Smell, Taste, Touch, Hearing, and Seeing. This is what happens to all ppl that are data drained...
Later you learn that Ginkan had a copy of his player character made or something like that. And that was the reason he didn't go into a coma. The Guardian is a very powerful monster... I love them! Anyways, they aren't as powerful as the phases or anything like that... All you gotta do to defeat them is... Nevermind...
I hope that helped... Somewhat...

Ginkan had a 'back up' copy of his player, that's why he can use that data, not the reason why he didn't go into a coma. The reason why he dsidn't go into a come is because 'guardians' can't cause coma's from DD. I just causes amnesia and temporary unconciousness(sp)

That's what I figured. If the Guardians were that strong, why use Skeith to imprison Sora? Just whip up another Guardian. Since it seems they can be made a dime a dozen, it would stand to reason they are weaker then the Phases themselves.

Well, I suppose triple-strength. Probably why Maha was rewritten so much, from an AI who can teleport all over the place at will and can't talk to anyone but Tsukasa into a player who thinks she's a player and has no memory of anything about Tsukasa beyond a liking for Elk.

I was watching this episode a little while ago and does Sora just get DDrained by Skeith or does Morganna use Sora to make Skieth because in that ep Sora is kinda caught on his staff and then Skieth just kinda appears (could be totally misinterpreting this thoughSkeith to imprison Sora?

Sora gets stuck in Skeith's staff. That's pretty much it.Its Not a Game wrote:I was watching this episode a little while ago and does Sora just get DDrained by Skeith or does Morganna use Sora to make Skieth because in that ep Sora is kinda caught on his staff and then Skieth just kinda appears (could be totally misinterpreting this thoughSkeith to imprison Sora?)
Actually, whether Sora's _initially_ imprisoned in Skeith's Staff is an assumption. We know he eventually is, but that could just be his personality data transfering to it after Skeith is destroyed.
And I'm rather curious why he seems to be running around in .hack//ZERO, which takes place between SIGN and the game. The obvious assumption is he gets captured again somewhere near the end of the book (or else a later volume, as ZERO is just the first one)

Well, it wouldn't make much sense if Skeith had to be created from Sora. None of the other Phases were. I dunno, to me it makes more sense that those who Skeith DD'ed were imprisoned in his staff so they couldn't run around and make trouble like Tsukasa did.
The other Phases didn't really have enough time to do stuff like that before you find them and snuff them out. Well, depending on how quickly you play, anyway.

hm....but can't Data bugs also put people in coma's? I remember in vol. 2 Blackrose was getting pissed at Lios and was saying, "Kazu's still in the hospital! BRING HIM BACK!" And in vol. 1 she seemed pissed at the data bug in the chapel and wanted to kill it, with a vengence for Kazu. It would seem that certain Data Bugs can 'comatize' people. It seems to vary from series to series. In //sign you'd just die, as what happened to Krim. In //I.M.O.Q it seems they 'selectively comatize' people. In //dusk, you get attacked and killed by a data bug, and you're screwed! As aura would say, "You get caught in an EVIL illusion where you subconciously think you are dead." But isn't that different from being in a coma?

I wouldnt say It'd be that much different. If you subconciously think your dead wouldnt your body stop functioning normaly because your mind "thinks" your dead, but there would still be heart and brain activity just like somone who is comatosed (im no doctor so i dont know what the specs are on comas this is just an asumption in offering my opinion (not that i think anyone reads my posts anyway
)

Well, you could say that as the Phases are destroyed, the World is being destroyed as well. Look at the end of Mutation. So it follows that the Data Bugs would become stronger over time as well. But Blackrose could be mistaken. Kazu could have mentioned checking out a Data Bug and encountered Skeith instead.
