Helba IRL: Male or female?

Helbas character skin isn't part of the game, nor is Maha's. I still think Helba, as CRTwenty said, could be more than one person, and that would make perfect sense, although there is no proof for it going either way.

As for her being Harolds apprentice, then she wouldn't need to learn of Aura as Bear, Mimiru, and Tsukasa did because she would have already known, but she didn't.

I realize something - both Helba and Lios/Apeiron have to be people who knew Emma. In her Epitaph she mentions them by name; unless some weird "destiny" thing is going on, the two of them must be "in" on it, choosing their avatars' names to fit the prophecy.

It's like saying Bandai named their characters after the mods on this board.

You're assuming that Emma named the characters in the Epitaph after them. But it's more likely that they named themselves after the Epitaph, to make themselves sound cooler.

Helba took her name from the Epitath, probably just to sound cool (and unintentionally fulfilling her part in the Epitath).

Lios was unaware of his name, it's just the name given to the Sys Admin (probably due to Harald's programming)...

Yes, that's what I was saying in the first place ... you understood it backwards. I meant that they must have read the Epitaph and then named themselves off of it; Emma wrote it long before the World was ever set up. In that case (unless the Epitaph is far more well-known than I think it is), they must have known Emma to have read her original poem.

Oh, I understand now. Thank you for clearing that up. Well, I think you understand me as well.

They didn't have to know Emma personally, but they probably knew of her. After all, the Epitaph was "famous among certain groups of users," whatever that means.

Spike Speigal....that could also be a cover...Helba is a legendary hacker...i think that if he/she wanted to cover herself up...creating another sn to do so wouldn't be surprising....so i don't know or sure but i still think it is a cover.

Well there is an easy way to figure out if Kiro no Bito and Helba are the same person, does Helba appear during the final fight against Corbenik? Or assist in any way? If so then we can assume Kiro no Bito is a different person, and he's breaking into the CCorp office with the Liminality characters at that time.

Helba may be male, honestly, I thought so from the very beginning (now I don't ^^""") but the version that Helba is not a one person but a lot of hakers seems good... But... You know, I wish she was a woman! I kinda like her "the way she is"... I mean as a woman...

The way she speaks though, especially to males does seem like a woman is controlling her, or at least partially controlling her (if there are several hackers)...

I really do think that Helba is the kid who was blamed for Pluto's Kiss, it just "clicks" in my mind.

It's more beleivable thinking that Helba is a man though, & uses the female avatar to deceive everyone.
