.hack//FLCL?

Is there a reason for it? I mean, 8 isn't exactly the middle number if you count in base 10.

And yeah, FLCL mentions a whole bunch of animes. Gundam, Hamtaro, etc. Even has some parts in magna form. I wouldn't be surprised if they had put something .hack in there, but I think they would have been slightly more obvious about it.

saving another one of my topics from a fiery hell, in the manga it says "Where does reality end and fantasy begin? Video games, i suppose." Seems similar to the whole .hack//infection quote. Plus they said video games, which referrs to either .hack//infection or Mamimi's Fire Starter.

another connection! This time from .hack to FLCL. In one of the director's commentarys he said that Canti was original because his head was shaped like a box. If you look in the Ginkan Screen cap that Rhyste provided in the 'Club Net Slum' thread, you can see a person with a box-like head.
