Well Kite can't identify who Orca is until he identifies himself, even when he was speaking to him, don't you think he would have realized who it was if Orca was using his normal voice?

Eh, it should kinda be a self-explainatory thing. If you watch the last episode of SIGN, which you more than likely did, you do quite obviously notice a voice change between PC Tsukasa and IRL Tsu/An. Besides, I don't think the voices of most of the players would fit their characters...
Darn, I did not get the chance to see the last episode. But I still say that it is possible to change your voice in the game. If nothing else (get ready for a stupid idea) she could have used helium.
"For all the Dreamers out there, our planet's dream isn't over yet."
An (Tsukasa's RL self) walks out of the hospital, and we hear Tsukasa (in game male voice) thinking "I'm here, I'm really here" we then hear An say (in a very feminine voice) "I'm here"...
Oddly enough I think she still uses masculine language to say this, so she still seems to be a boy in her head.

AH!!! DEVIL!!! *WHACK* oh, whoops, you're just one of his many advocates. Sorry! ^.^ Anyway, i seriously think that the voice thingie cannot be changed, and that the reason why their voices are the way that they are is because they wouldn't sound right otherwise. Imagine wiseman with the voice of Naota from FLCL. Just doesn't work!
