Ah. Interesting. I hope they elaborate on that someday in the series. It's elaborated upon in the video games, right? I mean, since you can release Sora from Skeith's staff in one of them?

I think it's there mostly to mess with our heads, and also to make the beginning and ending of SIGN a little more dramatic.

It could possibly be the center of the Morganna program, I mean Harald appears as a giant stone tablet at the end of the game series. So perhaps that stone IS Morganna.

[spoiler]It's unlikely that the cell phone is the center of her program, seeing how Morganna is an omnipresent entity in the World. She exists everywhere simultaneously, and is not pinned down to any one location. It's possible that the phone is a manifestation of Morganna, but if it is, I find it odd that she uses that form only three times for no clear reason. Since it appears in Net Slum, the phone could also be Helba's information gathering program.[/spoiler]

idk if its a cell phone but i did notice a pattern.....

[spoiler] the phone appeared blank they flashed green then we see tsukasa laying on the dungeon floor, and later on in the episode we find out he cant log out.....and in episode 26 after he logs out and we see the whole scene of tsukasa and suburu meeting in real life we see it again but it flashes red....

its just a theory but just like "aura's domian" the "cellphone" (i think it might be the epitaph of twilight) as the field reflects on morganna's emotions the epitaph reflected on the demographics of tsukasa as well as him being able to log out....

It's definitely a cell phone.[spoiler]And your theory is just as likely as any other, I suppose. We know it has something to do with Tsukasa's situation, since it changes color at several key moments. I like to think it's Helba's program, because that gives it a reason to appear in Net Slum. But anything is possible, I guess.[/spoiler]

Maybe, I don't even think the "cell phone" is a cell phone. It could be just a program, a program designed for what mvrckbass said; a tracker.

Well, whatever it really is, it takes the shape of a cell phone. Like the Book of Twilight isn't a story, just a program designed to install the bracelet on someone's character. It only looks like a large, thick book. The cell phone that appears in SIGN obviously isn't a real cell phone on which you could make a call, it just looks like one.

and i dont want to quibble over something thats shape is frivolous, when only we want to know wut it does anyway.

that explains why her voice can some times be "omnipresent" like morganna's

has any one else noticed that?
