I love the designs of the runes in .hack//SIGN. I've always liked runes cause they're nifty and artistic, but the just look so cool painted on the characters like that.
If I could get away with it, I'd paint them on my face and wear them to work one day, just to see reactions. XD But alas... its a fancy office. T_T

I didn't notice those were supposed to be runes painted on the characters, just designs to make them look intersting. I can understand Bear's, his designs are geometrically reminis of the runes my book covers, though there are a couple dozen kinds. Perhaps thats where the others designs are from.

Morrowind is fun, and -extremely- customizable (there are a number of websites out there that all they do is collect Morrowind mods), but you will need a good system to run it. I have a P4 1.4 GHz 256meg RAM and a GeForce 2 Ultra 64meg video card, and it can get very chunky in places. :/ One main problem is a rendering thing, but I don't know if they ever got around to fixing that. Still a pretty fun game, though!SaberWolf wrote:THe only game I've seen so far that looks worth my time (and alot of it from the reports I've heard) is Elder Scrolls Morowind. Unfortunatly, until I can get a job, I won't be able to buy myself a decent gaming machine *waaah!* *sob*.
Well, the designs on the characters aren't runes o.o;;
The runes are what you see in the opening, appearing on top of Tsukasa's face when the characters walk by and attack something, you know? The designs you can put on your characters seem like the tattoos you can put on your creature in Black and White ^^;

Well...I've already designed my own character for .hack//sign. She looks pretty cool, even if she doesn't have any tatoos.
Here's a main question that every newbie to this site is wonderin' though, does anyone here know when the actual online .hack//sign game is gonna premiere? I haven't managed to get myself the newest edition of NewType magazine yet, but I plan to. They are proabably any Ameri-otaku's best shot at getting decent info on premiering anime in the States and Japan.
Oh, and last month I got a gamer's magazine for the fun of it, and they had some awsome gaming equipment in there (at least the pc's anyway. Thinkgeek.com is a great place to get other stuff.) and the coolest thing is, they're all under $3,000! Give me a good summer job and I'm there. And what's even better, I could probably buy all the individual parts myself and only spend $1500 to $2500 and put it together myself. I could go shopping online right now just to get an estimate, but I'm too lazy.

At this point, there has been no conclusive evidence that there is going to be 'The World' made. We really don't know. All we know is Bandai tossing hints of some sort out to people on occaision.
Lemme explain someth, tho. .hack//SIGN is the prequel series, the TV series running on Cartoon Network. .hack is the games (offline - simulated online RPGs), .hack//Liminality is the OVA, .hack//Tasogare no Udewa Densetsu is the manga that takes place 5 years after the games(which is now being animated as well- ep 5 just aired this week), and .hack//AI Busters is a prequel series to SIGN.
I've heard that Sony has announced that they may bring out a PS2 headset in Japan late 03 to early 04, though. I've not heard much more on it, though.

Well c'mon. We all know they probably will, especially since Cartoon Network got the American Contract for it. Now everyone is gonna here about it, think they know it, and (just like my annoying generation) DEMAND they produce a game. But sony? I expected Microsoft to lunge for the contractors throats to produce the game for X box. I'm not complaining tho, XBox is evil.

Umm... They've mentioned it multiple times, both the anime of UdeDen and the manga in the demo CD for the PS2. It's coming out.
As for game, to make The World a game? I don't think it's gonna fly unless Bandai approves of it.
Cartoon Network sent requests in to Sunrise to make more Cowboy Bebop of all things. Sunrise promptly squashed their requests. u.u
It all depends on the creators' wishes. I won't demand if the creator doesn't want it. It's as easy as that.

If I recall correctly, Bandai had mentioned producing 'The World' if profits from the .hack project allowed for it.
However, this could also be a ploy for more money, as there's no definite proof that they -will- make it, but just a possibility that most people are willing to spend their money on ^^; there's no announced amount they'd need, soo...
.. but it's to be seen ^^ With the 'VR' headsets and the PS2 modems, it could work o.o

Never underestimate pissed off "otaku" Gamers. If american teenage-20 yr olds get mad enough, they'll probably hack the site or sumthin. YOu should see some of my friends when they're mad. Last year a kid who was getting kicked out of this school trashed the Network here. (though the adults here didn't know it was HER)
