its aethist... and i wouldnt really say that i am one, but i will not put a whole lot of faith in a religion or god when i dont have much faith in the humanity that it is supposed to control... i dont want ot get off topic though, if anyone wants to discuss theological issuse, they can start a new thread sometime

i have noticed that when most people think of aliens they think of them as superior to us, more technology, or more mental abilities, longer life span and such. i mean just look at the SciFi channel. all the aliens are superior and the humans are the butt monkeys of the universe. i think that IF there is life out there, it wont be superior to us, if its out there we may WAY ahead of them, we have been to the moon they may still think their moons are made out of fungus. one thing is for SURE. if they contact us all heck will break loose, we will fear them and the government will cause all kinds of complications. but if we find them.... well actually i see much the same thing happening that way to... so i just think its best if we donâ€™t meet each other until we get interpersonal relations on this planet up to a civil level.

I agree completely with HetmitIX. Although I think here definitely are alien life forms, I think chances of alien intellegent life is something we know even less about. But besides that,

Typical types of aliens potrayed:

1. Super Hostile
They come to earth and enslave human race
or
They want the resources
In case of battlefield Earth, stupid aliens with platform shoes were both.
2. Super benign
They are small and frail
they have BIG eyes
e.g. ET

Well, I guess stereotyping is in human nature. With things we know even less about [aliens], we tend to believe that they [aliens] are either going to be good or evil. I think if they exist, I mean intellegent life besides us, they (even single race of sentient aliens) are likely to be in the middle of the line, and very diverse, much like us.

Lol now it would be funny if the first intelligent life from another planet was super smart rabbit's. That would be freaky.

Or even if 'aliens' were just like us, in every appearance. We wouldn't know now, would we? >;) Just something that occurred to me. We watch all this anime with people from other planets, and technically they are aliens too, when compared to another planet. @_@

Or what if humans are the only life in the universe... and were just a small backwatter seed ment to grow to become a member of something bigger in the universe.

Who knows... it would be cool.
